Castle 1-12 Dingle 1-09
Castlegregory Seniors played Dingle in the 4th round of the West Kerry League at Pairc an Aghasaigh Saturday last (06.03.10) to 2.15pm. Castle played a nice style of football and moved the ball quickly into the full forward line but unfortunately some chances were wasted in front of goal. Half time score line Dingle 1-06 Castle 0-05. Shane Hennessy was a major contributor for Castle converting three frees and scoring three point from play. The Castle goal came with 10 min left in the second half with Castle down by a point. Dingle goal keeper Diarmuid Murphy tried a short kick out but Alan McNamara intercepted the ball and passed to Johnny Fitzgerald who was standing at the edge of the large square and buried the ball passed the Dingle goal keeper. The Club it starting a club 300 to raise funds to buy and reclaim land for training and to develop the dressing rooms for the growing number to teams that the club has using the current facilities.
